Persuade principle to alllow students to keep field trips. 7th Semester Essay

A child is the future of the world that we all live in today. The children of today are our leaders of tomorrow. They need the most that they can get while they are young and before they have to pay for everything they do, or want to do in life. Why would you want to deprive innocent children in the need of education, for an experience that can probably change their life? Why take something away from them that they will never get to experience in their life again? Take something away from yourself, do not take anything from the children.
If a child goes on field trips to different places, it exposes them to different things. At home they may not see the different options that the world has. Not all then children at our school are financially stable. If they ever wanted to go to some of the places now, without being with the school, they more than likely will not be able to go. Even though we have to pay for grad night, the price for it is still cheaper than a Disneyland ticket. If we do not go with the school, most of us will never go to Disneyland in our life. I know I have never been to Disneyland before, and I probably would not plan on ever going. I would like to go and get the experience of the magical place on earth. If you take away that, I will never be able to go. There are field trips where we get to go to college campuses. To a high school student, if you see a college campus and like it so much, you may be inspired to go to college. You may want to have that experience that will make
your future much more bright than what is in store for young and older minorities. There are some students that do not think about going to college and just want to work after high school. If they get to go to colleges and look at them and get the feel for it, it may inspire them to go.
If you just need to save money, why look into taking stuff from the kids? Why can’t you take away stuff form yourself? Maybe you can get a small pay cut, and take away a little from every teacher so that the children do not have to suffer. Take away some of the free breaks that the students get so the school can get money for when children come to school. Students should not even have to sacrifice that though. The teachers should come up with a way where money can be saved or more can be produce so that nothing is taken away from our future leaders.
We the students should not have our field trips taken away form us, the remainder of the school year. It does not allow us to experience new things that will make a huge difference, and impact our lives greatly. If money needs to be saved the teachers and the principle should take something away from themselves. School is all about the children and getting them ready and helping them for the future, isn’t it?

You are asked to write an article about a person newly arrived from another country. Discuss the kinds of information you would include

When someone comes here from another country, it’s most likely going to be a bit difficult to adjust to. So to make it easier, there are things that other people from other countries who would like to come here should know. Say you’re coming in from Canada; things that change and you need to consider are things like money or currency exchange. Canadian money is different from us money so they need to make sure that they make the switch and understand it. Another example could be if you were coming in from let’s say China, the language difference is huge. To do pretty much anything in another country, you need to be able to communicate. So learning the language is very crucial. If you can’t learn the language nor just don’t want to, that’s fine, just make sure you are with people you can trust and who do speak the dominant language and can relay it to you as well. Another thing you would need to know is probably basic things like, laws you have to abide by, road rules you need to learn, stuff like that. Once you’ve got all that down packed your pretty much all good to go and you’ll fit in just fine.

Describe a master plan that would make your community a better place to live

Everyone these days are stressing how important it is to make your community a better place to live. I believe that there efforts to stress it are very important because who wouldn’t love to be a part of a better community or better anything? So, here’s my master plan to help those who want to help make their communities a better place to live. First off, the key ingredients to making this plan work is your time, effort, and desire to improve the community you live in. If you have those few things, the rest should be a walk in the park. So after you’ve achieved those three key things, first, you’ll need to take action. Be aggressive in your efforts, step up and look for things on your own that can use your help. Second, volunteer you, your time, and money. Make yourself completely available as much as possible and in any way possible. Third, be involved in things small and big like planting flowers to neighborhood watch. Find things to get involved in. And lastly, just be patient, all change doesn’t happen overnight so just keep working and watch your work gradually make a difference in your communities.

Describe a vegetable that you truly don’t like

A lot of people don’t like vegetables at all, but me, I like most veggies but only if they are served or cooked right. It makes all the difference and makes it much tastier to eat and enjoy. One vegetable I truly dislike though, just so happens to be the nasty little round reddish things called radishes. They are extremely gross and they make me want to through up if I am ever forced to eat them. They are a mix between a bit of spicy, bitter, and just plain nasty. It has a distinct taste but definitely not in a good way. To me, they have such a gross taste to them and when you bite them, it’s like biting into an apple but much less satisfying and enjoyable. The one thing that’s pretty cool about them is that they don’t really smell like anything, but don’t let that fool you because they taste like absolute crap (not really, just a figure of speech, but I’m just trying to emphasize how disgusting they are!!!). Anyways, radishes are usually pretty small and cute looking but there taste and looks are far from similar. I don’t understand how anyone could possibly like to eat radishes, I mean they are jut repulsive and the thought of someone wanting to eat them is just crazy. No matter how you cook cut or try and enhance them, I just can’t eat them. I think I’ll just stick with all the other veggies.

Explain the causes and effects of prejudice

A problem in the world that has been going on for a very long time is prejudice. It's a growing and dangerous problem that is almost impossible to fix. The problem I'm talking about is prejudice. Prejudice could be caused by a lot of things for example fear of the unknown or things that are different, pride from thinking they are superior, more important or better than someone/something else, and even plain ignorance to the world around them and the people/things around them. There are different kinds of prejudice that people take part in. Different kinds are against people of another race, of a different religion, of a different sexuality, and many other types. All these prejudices are dangerous whether they are acted upon or not because they are stemmed from bad opinions and thoughts people make about someone or something. A lot of prejudices are influenced opinions, thoughts, or feelings from another person onto someone else and they run with it. You may not have experienced why you shouldn't like this race or that sexuality but maybe someone in your family or one of your friends have so you feel the need to share the same opinions, thoughts, and feelings as well. Some effects of these prejudices are everlasting and scarring for the people who are targeted. There have been many times throughout history when the people on the other end of prejudices have been greatly affected and it lead to many horrible acts that could have been prevented.

Explain the causes and effects of impulsive buying

Going shopping and spending some money here and there once in a while is normally fun and harmless. After all, if you work hard for your money you should be able to spend some on yourself sometimes right? Well yes, you should. But, there becomes a time when some people shop and spend uncontrollably. It's called impulsive buying and it's quite a dangerous thing. There are people out there who deal with this issue and it could be ruining them. People who buy and shop impulsively could have started for many reasons. They could have started because they love to shop and just can't get enough of it, or they feel happy doing it so they feel it's necessary to do it, or they need to make sure they have the latest and best stuff so they just buy up everything, or even, they could have the money and just don't know what else to do with it so they decide to buy buy buy. All these things could affect someone’s life greatly and negatively because you could be spending your life away and end up with no money and a lot of stuff. It's an addiction an when you run out of money to support it, you do drastic things to support your addiction which can lead you to doing illegal and harmful things that not only affect you, but the people around you as well.

Explain pollution to a visitor from another planet

Visitor from another planet:
First off I'd like to say welcome to planet earth. I am pleased to introduce myself as your host and welcome to my beloved planet. You can also think of me as your informant. I will tell you all you need to know about my planet including one if the most terrible things that happens here on earth called pollution. Before I continue, I feel like I should go in depth and explain to you this thing called pollution. Well to give you a bit of a definition of pollution which is it is the introduction of harmful substances or products into the environment such as air or water. Things that pollute air and water are relatively pretty harmless like when people throw their trash into the ocean or rivers, or when people spray perfume or cologne while trying to freshen themselves up a bit. While those things are somewhat harmless to us humans, there are things that aren't. Some things like cigarette smoke. Cigarettes are little sticks of a drug called tobacco and people smoke them. They are terrible for our lungs but people do it anyways and not only do they hurt themselves but they hurt people who are around them. The smoke that comes from the cigarette pollutes the air and people close enough can breathe it in. It's a deadly toxin and can even kill people with a disease called lung cancer.
