Explain the causes and effects of prejudice
A problem in the world that has been going on for a very long time is prejudice. It's a growing and dangerous problem that is almost impossible to fix. The problem I'm talking about is prejudice. Prejudice could be caused by a lot of things for example fear of the unknown or things that are different, pride from thinking they are superior, more important or better than someone/something else, and even plain ignorance to the world around them and the people/things around them. There are different kinds of prejudice that people take part in. Different kinds are against people of another race, of a different religion, of a different sexuality, and many other types. All these prejudices are dangerous whether they are acted upon or not because they are stemmed from bad opinions and thoughts people make about someone or something. A lot of prejudices are influenced opinions, thoughts, or feelings from another person onto someone else and they run with it. You may not have experienced why you shouldn't like this race or that sexuality but maybe someone in your family or one of your friends have so you feel the need to share the same opinions, thoughts, and feelings as well. Some effects of these prejudices are everlasting and scarring for the people who are targeted. There have been many times throughout history when the people on the other end of prejudices have been greatly affected and it lead to many horrible acts that could have been prevented.
