A child is the future of the world that we all live in today. The children of today are our leaders of tomorrow. They need the most that they can get while they are young and before they have to pay for everything they do, or want to do in life. Why would you want to deprive innocent children in the need of education, for an experience that can probably change their life? Why take something away from them that they will never get to experience in their life again? Take something away from yourself, do not take anything from the children.
If a child goes on field trips to different places, it exposes them to different things. At home they may not see the different options that the world has. Not all then children at our school are financially stable. If they ever wanted to go to some of the places now, without being with the school, they more than likely will not be able to go. Even though we have to pay for grad night, the price for it is still cheaper than a Disneyland ticket. If we do not go with the school, most of us will never go to Disneyland in our life. I know I have never been to Disneyland before, and I probably would not plan on ever going. I would like to go and get the experience of the magical place on earth. If you take away that, I will never be able to go. There are field trips where we get to go to college campuses. To a high school student, if you see a college campus and like it so much, you may be inspired to go to college. You may want to have that experience that will make
your future much more bright than what is in store for young and older minorities. There are some students that do not think about going to college and just want to work after high school. If they get to go to colleges and look at them and get the feel for it, it may inspire them to go.
If you just need to save money, why look into taking stuff from the kids? Why can’t you take away stuff form yourself? Maybe you can get a small pay cut, and take away a little from every teacher so that the children do not have to suffer. Take away some of the free breaks that the students get so the school can get money for when children come to school. Students should not even have to sacrifice that though. The teachers should come up with a way where money can be saved or more can be produce so that nothing is taken away from our future leaders.
We the students should not have our field trips taken away form us, the remainder of the school year. It does not allow us to experience new things that will make a huge difference, and impact our lives greatly. If money needs to be saved the teachers and the principle should take something away from themselves. School is all about the children and getting them ready and helping them for the future, isn’t it?
