Some people go right to college after high school; others take a year or more off to work or travel. Which do you think is the better choice?

            Going to college right after high school is a lot better, and I prefer doing that than to take some time of to enjoy myself like traveling, or for work. In college you can study abroad and you can travel that way, while still getting an education. You can work while you go to college and make money while get an education. It is smarter to go to college right after high college. If you take time off you are risking a lot. You are risking not getting in to the college that you really want to go to. You also risk not getting into college at all and having to go to a junior college. To me junior college is a waste of time. If you go to college you will have the experience of a lifetime. If you do not go right away and take time off to work because you need to save money to pay for college, you are making a big mistake also. With all the free money that is out here in the world, you can go to college for free. You can get financial aid, scholarships, Cal Grants, student loans, and any other money that you can get your hands on. It just makes the most sense to go to college right after high school, than to take time off.

            People say that once you take a break from school, you never go back. This is true. I have seen quite a few people that have taken a break after high school saying, “I tired of school, I am going to take this semester off and start back in the spring semester.” Once they did this, they said they were going to go back in the fall semester, and they kept putting it off. They never did end up going back to school. One of them works at McDonalds now, another at Wing Stop, and the other people work at other jobs that are never going to get them anywhere in their future. They will be trapped in poverty for the rest of their life. If they go to college now they wont have to be in poverty. They will be able to have a good life, and live the “American Dream.”

            It is said that in your life, you will never again experience anything like the “college life.” They are the best years of your life. Why would you want to wait to have those great moments? That makes gay sense at all. Go to college right away, do not take time off to work or travel.
